In roles spanning counselor, vice principal, interim principal, and ultimately Deputy Director, she has been instrumental in shaping programs that inspire both personal and intellectual growth. Sonya’s work includes leading educational initiatives, managing crisis response, overseeing significant facilities projects, and ensuring wise use of resources to create enriching learning experiences.
Beyond her role in academic administration, Sonya is committed to creating inclusive opportunities that empower individuals at every stage of life. As a board member of SNACK*, a nonprofit focused on supporting children, teens, and young adults, she champions programs that promote social connection, personal growth, and independence, enabling participants to build meaningful lives with purpose.
